Styled Shoot: Evoking the spirit of a Tuscan romance

Tuscany inspired wedding shoot

For an aesthetic that remains forever en pointe at a Queensland wedding (or any wedding, for that matter), you can’t go wrong with black and white accented by garden-fresh green. Think elegant white bridal gown, crisp black tux, and abundant fresh greenery and soft white blooms. Classic. This styled shoot brings the palette to life while evoking the spirit of a Tuscan romance at Tamborine Mountain’s Wynmère Estate. We’re also smitten with the elegant Gold Coast hinterland locale and obsessed with the exquisite details. Seriously, that stationery!! Ebony Reid, director and photographer at ZALI Photo and Film, talks us through this European-inspired soirée …

The look:

I love the thought of a simple, timeless and elegant European-style wedding with a fine-art feel. An event that’s all about family coming together to celebrate love in an intimate setting with family and friends. This was my inspiration — but to show couples it can be re-created here for a Queensland wedding!

The location:

Wynmère Estate was the perfect venue for this styled shoot. It has great character and classic architecture and beautifully represents the European intimate wedding vibe.

The dress:

The dress was a huge visionary element for me. I pictured beautiful flowing fabrics as I wanted the gown to have movement for that effortless, elegant feel. That’s when I found the Armeria gown by designer Alena Leena at The Veil Collective.

The florals:

Inspired by timeless elegance, our green and white florals by Emunah Events helped create a clean and sophisticated look that flowed through to the table styling and cake. They tied everything together perfectly.

The tablescape:

Carissa from Emunah Events brought the vision to life with olive branches, stunning white florals, linens, travertine, and gold.

The cake:

The Sweet Society Co. provided us with an elegant and simple cake design with stunning sculptural floral detail. It was the perfect finishing touch!

The stationery:

Lauren from Très Cher Le Papier delivered such beautiful stationery. The menus had exquisite hand-painted artwork and calligraphy on hand-torn paper—perfect for that Tuscan feel.
