Imagine this – you’ve picked out a gorgeous dress for your wedding in a year’s time and decide to take it to an alterations shops to make a few minor adjustments. Two fittings later, you go to try on the dress the day before the wedding and, well, it’s far from perfect. This was Brittany’s unfortunate reality – we’ll say it again – the day before her wedding. “The dress was still full of pins and it was definitely not finished,” says Brittany. “The people at the alterations shop took the dress off me and asked ‘So when’s your wedding again?’.” We’re stressing out for you, Brittany!
Luckily, a boutique just next door came to the rescue, helping the beautiful bride find an alternative that fit perfectly. “On the morning of my wedding, I went to the shop to pick it up in my robe and with curlers in,” laughs Brittany.
Don’t worry, we’re not sharing this story to freak you out (trust us). Despite this rare mishap, Brittany went on to tie the knot with her sweetheart, Tyson, and have the best day ever. “Credit to my bridal party for helping me keep it together,” laughs Brittany. Saying “I do” at Rockhampton’s beautiful St Aubins Village, the two enjoyed a fantastic day with loved ones and partied the night away. “While it had stressful beginnings, our wedding came together beautifully! I still had the most amazing time!”
