If you’re in the middle of wedding planning and feeling a little overwhelmed, spare a thought for this bride. With everything organised and ready to go, Madeleine lost the majority of her supplies (including her dress!) just six days before the big day! “My parents’ home was severely affected by a large house fire,” explains Madeleine. “Thankfully no one was injured, but unfortunately all of our wedding things were destroyed, including my gown, the three bridesmaids dresses and my mother’s outfit – all of which my incredible mum had spent months sewing herself!” One word – nightmare!
Pulling everything together at the last minute with the help of some super-fabulous vendors, Madeleine tied the knot with Kristian in beautiful ceremony at Brisbane’s St James Catholic Church before partying the night away at Easts Leagues Club. “We essentially had to re-plan the wedding with six days to go, but it was still the best day of my life!” Phew!
